About Our Attention Bucket

Our Attention Bucket is a simple but highly effective way of helping children develop strong learning behaviours. We use it to build shared attention, focus, anticipation, turn-taking, and early communication skills. The bucket is filled with fun, surprising, and attention-grabbing toys that we reveal one by one — and the children absolutely love it!

We also adapt the bucket for Together Time and maths. For Together Time, we theme the toys to link with our weekly topics, helping children connect ideas and language in a playful way. In maths, we use objects that spark counting, comparing, measuring, predicting, and problem-solving — all through joyful exploration. It’s a brilliant tool for supporting engagement and learning across the whole curriculum.

On our wishlist you’ll see a few ideas, but honestly, any toy that captures attention is wonderful. Even tiny treasures — like something from inside a Christmas cracker — can be perfect for bucket activities.
