High Frequency Words
By the end of key stage 1 (year 2) the children need to know how to spell the first 100 high freqency words. These are the words which come up most regularly in their reading and that they will most likely use in their writing.
In order for your children to become even better readers and writers than they already are, I have attached the list of 100 high frequency words which they can either look at themselves or even better can look at with you! You could even print it out and stick it on the fridge and the children will begin to take them in every time they open the door.
It is not compulsory that the children look at them outside of school, but any help or assistance you can give them would be greatly appreciated and will have a huge impact on them and their continued progress.
